Thomas Kelly ~Expedition 1~

This is the first post on my blog; so let me enlighten you about my first expedition at SOAR. We first began our trip by flying out to Las Vegas on 1/10/12, where we spent 2 nights at Red Rock, and went rock climbing. Our group then traveled to the Grand Canyon. We first spent one night on the rim before starting our eight-mile hike into the canyon. After our eight-mile hike we spent two nights in the bottom of the canyon. On the third day we knocked out five out of our ten miles out of the canyon. And on the forth we finished the remaining 5 miles with ease. We then spent that night at the same spot on the rim as before. After our Grand Canyon adventure we spent three days and two nights at a KOA (Kamp Ground of America). Where we knocked out the remaining amount of our schoolwork. Our final stop before our return flight to base was to stay in the state park of Phoenix, Arizona, where we spent one night.
